Terms of Service
Effective date: March 22, 2026. Last updated: March 24, 2026.
By using BAC Levels ("the site," "this tool," "our service"), you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
1. Estimates Only — No Warranty
All BAC calculations provided by this site are rough estimates based on the Widmark formula using population-average values. This tool is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or merchantability.
We make no guarantee that any BAC estimate reflects your actual blood alcohol content. Individual BAC varies based on metabolism, genetics, medications, liver function, hydration, food intake, drink composition, and many other factors that no calculator can account for.
2. Not Medical or Legal Advice
Nothing on this site constitutes medical advice, legal advice, or a professional recommendation. This tool is for educational and informational purposes only.
Do not use this tool to:
- Determine whether you are fit to drive or operate machinery
- Make any safety-critical decision
- Self-diagnose alcohol-related health conditions
- Substitute for a calibrated breathalyzer or blood test
- Challenge or dispute legal BAC test results
The only reliable way to know your BAC is a calibrated breathalyzer or blood test administered by a qualified professional.
3. Assumption of Risk
You assume all risk associated with the use of this tool. Any decisions you make based on BAC estimates — including the decision to drive, wait, or seek alternative transportation — are entirely your responsibility.
Alcohol impairs judgment, and impaired judgment affects how well you assess your own impairment. If you are using this tool while drinking, recognize that your perception of the results may itself be impaired.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BAC Levels, its operators, developers, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to:
- Your use of, or reliance on, any BAC estimate
- Decisions made based on information from this site
- Inaccuracies in BAC estimates
- Any injury, legal consequence, or financial loss connected to alcohol consumption
- Service interruptions, errors, or unavailability of the site
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Present BAC estimates as medically or legally authoritative
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the site's infrastructure
- Scrape or systematically download content without permission
6. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and branding on this site are the property of BAC Levels unless otherwise noted. The Widmark formula itself is in the public domain. You may link to our tools freely. You may not copy substantial portions of our content, design, or code for competing services.
7. Age Requirement
This site is intended for adults of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction. By using the site, you represent that you meet this requirement. We do not encourage underage drinking.
8. Third-Party Services
The site uses Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Cloudflare. Your use of the site is also subject to these providers' terms of service. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
9. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes take effect upon posting. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
11. Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
